Enhancing the interrelationship between your business and your IT infrastructure is generally one of the easiest methods of improving your business performance. Organizations frequently have much more data, information, and knowledge than its business community correctly utilizes.
In my consulting practice I focus on merchandising and the supply chain portions of the retail and direct marketing businesses, but have also helped companies with marketing projects involving list management and analytics. The performance areas I focus on include improving client’s comparative store sales, improving the management of their inventory asset, and increasing their maintained gross margin. Often a successful project will involve leveraging the clients existing technology base by clearly defining their goals and then modifying their business processes, but other times some additional methods of information delivery is required.
Unleashing potential is often as simple as identifying which information is meaningful, interpreting it, and then knowing what action to take. Although simply stated, it’s much easier said than done and this is where I can help your organization. Then assist them in rationalizing their reporting and information delivery so that those KPIs can be utilized. Finally, work with the business to modify their processes to include the decision trees and the action plans that helps them to react timely and correctly to vital information.
